ABOUT ERIC WAAG:

Eric Waag began in the tree industry when he was 15. Logging during the summer months deep in the backcountry of Idaho's Sawtooth Mountain Range. He brought that passion home, and after college decided that the logger life was the life for him. 

Eric worked in Kitsap County for many years learning from some of the local legends and being mentored by a grizzly logger in his late 60's with over 40 years of experience under his belt. He took him under his wing and spent many hours of his time teaching Eric not just the skills necessary, but gifting him his knowledge and details on how to complete a job safely and efficiently.  

After working closely with some great outfits for several years, Eric's family opened their own company–a great time of father and sons working side by side. But change is inevitable. Eric's brother tragically passed. And after years of dedicated service. Eric's father stepped down for his well earned time of rest and relaxation through retirement. 

Waag Family Tree Service LLC was opened as an extension of the family business where Eric and his wife, Katherine, run the company side by side. Their 4 kids watch and learn the value of hard work for a day’s pay. The oldest boy is already a firewood splitting master! And their youngest has the ambition to follow in Dad’s footsteps.  

Today, they have a great crew, and Eric works to mentor the next generation in the Timber Tradition. His team is hardworking, safety conscious, and proud to serve you!
